The vast majority of radiator systems are controlled using one timer, one thermostat and mechanical TRV’s (thermostatic radiator valves).
This level of control means when you time the radiators on via the time clock, every room will come on and be controlled by very inaccurate TRV’s. During the day this could be rooms that are not used and do not require heat. You are wasting valuable energy heating unoccupied rooms.
Our upgrade for a radiator system does away with the timeclock, the individual room stat and the mechanical TRV’s. We then place a wireless Salus Quantum stat in every room, the Quantum stat is then linked wirelessly to a motorized valve on your radiator (this replaces the TRV).
You can program each Quantum stat with the time and temperature profile required for that particular room. This ensures you are only ever heating the areas that require heat which will decrease the load required on your boiler.
The system is set-up using a gateway that simply plugs into your wifi router. This enables full control of every thermostat via an easy to use app.
